I decided to kick off my first article of the New Year by featuring what others have written about coaching.

There are over 10,000 professional coaches out there, and we specialize in many areas of personal and business development.  Sure, we're in the coaching business, but that's only part of the story.

Coaches are in the achievement business.  Or the personal growth business.  Or the happiness business.  Or the executive development business.  We just happen to use coaching as the format, structure and style of the relationship and use coaching skills and the coaching label as our preferred packaging.

So, what can a coach do for me?
People hire me because they understand the POWER of having a strategic partner in eliminating stress, and the things they tolerate, but shouldn't, and building their business or career.  I provide you with structure, support, and feedback in achieving YOUR life goals.

I get incredible energy from coaching my clients, and thrive on THEM becoming more creative, working less, earning more money, having more time off, and having a lot more fun doing it.

My practice is focused on working with 'people who lead other people'.

Now, please enjoy these online articles.

A Tip from the ThinkTank --

Are you really interested in strengthening your family?  What are the secrets to developing and maintaining bonds that make the good times great and the hard times easier to handle?  Over the next few issues, I'll be discussing the 10 Key Traits of a Strong Family.

Key Number 1 - Treat each other well.

In the strongest families, positive comments outweigh negative ones by a huge margin.  They regularly express thanks for the little (and big) things that family members do for each other.

"Thanks for taking out the garbage (or cleaning out the refrigerator, or washing the dog)".  How about a simple, "I really enjoyed that dinner", or "Mom, you look very nice in that outfit."

Pretty easy huh?  Strongly bonded families live by the 'Golden Rule'.  Make it your rule to compliment each family member at least once a day.
