For those of you who check your email today, HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY 4th of JULY. Let's remember that our troops here, and all over the globe are in harms way! While we celebrate, let's remind ourselves that it's because of their hard work, honor and risk, now and in the past, that we enjoy our freedom.

| Cyber Skill #4 Blind Carbon Copying. |
Introduction Did you ever want to send a message to someone and 'secretly copy' others on the message? You can send your email to other people without the person to whom you addressed your email knowing that others are also receiving a copy of this email. There are several reasons to use this BCC option: 1. You want to get a copy of the email to someone and you don't want the original addressee to know that you're doing this. 2. You want to send the same email out to a lot of people but you don't want anyone you're sending it to, to be able to see the email addresses of anyone else for confidentiality or marketing reasons. We use this option a lot when sending out emails to 50 or 100 or 500 folks and we don't want anyone to get a hold of these email addresses (because if you put them all in the TO or CC area, everyone will be able to everyone else's email addresses.} 3. You want to send yourself a copy of the email so you can follow it up later or just keep a copy. (True, you can type your email address in the TO or CC area, but it's cleaner to put your email address in the BCC area.) Note: if you don't see the Bcc field showing up on your new e-mail, click on the View menu in Outlook and click next to the Bcc area. Here's how use the
Bcc area.... Step
